The Problem:

‘When you’re in a [broken] system and you try to get the answers from the same system, you get the same answers.’

Rachel had been working in the online community for 6 years but was feeling like she didn’t fit and adopting the strategies suggested by others as a fix was just making her feel more disconnected and disillusioned:

‘I think that that’s what’s really missing in the online world today…we think it’s this person’s strategy that’s going to work for us, and we try and put it on, but we still feel like crap because not being as“successful” as them means you failed. In one of the programs that I was in, I would cry literally almost every group session. And I finally figured it out. It was because it was still not fitting. I’m trying to cram myself into this thing, and it pretty much just reinforced all the things that culture had told me about myself.’

Working with coaches before, Rachel felt that traditional strategy-led programs were just compounding the problem as they didn’t delve deep enough or connect with her. Instead of finding abundance and progress, she felt there was a culture of blame and an expectation of a quick ‘fix’ to be found.

‘They just want to put a bandaid on it or say, send this email sequence and then you’ll grow your list. That’s not how it works for me…A lot of coaches struggle because they want to have a more simple answer. They want to make you believe it’s your mindset. And if you can’t do it, it’s your mindset and it’s your fault.’

As a therapist, Rachel knew that she had to do the deep work in order to manifest the success and joy she was capable of – and she knew she needed an emotionally and energetically attuned guide who could lead her on this journey. She therefore stepped back from the coaching world as it wasn’t serving her, that is, until she met Morgana:

‘I’ve hired a lot of coaches before, and they stay on the surface. They can’t help on a deep emotional level. Which is why I hadn’t worked with someone for a really long time. I was like, I’m not investing my money anymore. I’m waiting. I know there’s got to be someone out there. I’ll know when it’s time…And so when I met Morgana…I knew I wanted to work with her.’

And I knew that that wasn’t right. I knew that I needed to do the internal work. Using techniques such as visualization and meditation and learning about the ‘Hero’s Journey’ and ‘Follow your North Star’ allowed Rachel to truly reflect and address deep trauma that was holding her back. The tools provided by Morgana and her teachings, which focussed on religious trauma and the history of female oppression and subjugation, encouraged Rachel to disrupt the cultural systems that weren’t serving her and break out of these in order to make her own reality free from guilt and shame:
